A grassroots network that provides support, information, and understanding to anyone who lives with a child who has a Sensory Processing Disorder or wants to learn more about the disorder. Collaborative group of NIH-funded researchers, many with pilot projects on Sensory Processing Disorder funded by the Wallace Research Foundation. Abstracts of current scientific studies are written for consumers to understand, and a listing of related scientific papers is provided. Researchers in the Work Group include scientists from Harvard, Yale, Duke, Madison, and other research universities.

Assessment services and individualized therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with Sensory Processing Disorder. Directed by Lucy Jane Miller, PhD, OTR, and Ron A. Minson, MD, STAR Center offers occupational therapy and listening therapy separately or in combination to optimize results. Therapy is based on an “intensive” model of short term (often 20 sessions) with frequent treatment (often 3 or more times per week) to address the cause of sensory difficulties rather than the symptoms.
